MANAGER'S REPORT The Manager gave a detailed report regarding the proposed purchase of two two-million gallon steel tanks and for the reporv on the ~wo- appropriate cathodic protection. The Village Manager reoorted that the Board of Local Im- provements voted to direct the Village Engineer to pre- pare all the necessary engineering for sidewalks in the Fairview Gardens area along Central Rd., including all the way around Prosoect Plaza to the northern boundary. Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Scholten, moved to waive the rules requiring two readings of an ordinance granting a variation to the Mount Prospect Public Library. Prospecv Library) ' - ' (for trailer and fence.) Bostrom, 1600 Ironwood Drive as a member of the Drainage and Clean Streams Commission for a term to expire May l, 1975 appointment c and requested Board concurrence. COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN REPORTS BUILDING COMMITTEE Trustee Anderson read an ordinance grantin~ certair variations for property located at 213 W. Prospect Avenue and requested the Clerk to place it on the next agenda for final reading? R-4 PUD RUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE Trustee Ahern oresented a Committee reoort regarding senior citizen housing. The committee recommended sub- sidized housing for the elderly and a resolution was repot: on Senior presented whereby the Housing Authority of Cook County Citizen Housing would propose to develop and admini, ste~ a low-rent housing prooect consisting of 250 dwelling ~nits. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Richardson Scholten Motion carried. Trustee Ahern reported the Committee reviewed requests by citizens regarding control of dogs. It was the requests of opinion of the Health Director that enforcement of citizens on curbing of dogs and the responsibility of the owners control of with regard to cleanliness would be difficult. Mrs Boswell will investigate methods of legislation ' dogs existing in other communities. OTHER BUSINESS The pre-annexation hearing regarding property south of Algonquin and east of Nordic Road was continued to the next regular meeting. Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Scholten, moved for passage of Ordinance #2362: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1~3.114 OF TH£ motion MUNICIPAL CODE AND REPEALING SECTION 13.1i9 for passage of Ordinance THEREOF No. 2362 This ordinance places certain restrictions on the Closing of premises and eliminates the closing of liquor estab- lishments on election days. liquor est.
