CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
Mr. Eugene Dubay, 302 S. Pine, appeared before the Board ~o discuss traffic on
increased traffic on Pine Street due to barricades placed at Lincoln Pine St.
and Elmhurst. President Teichert explained the problem created was
anticipated and should be alleviated when drivers become accustomed
to the change and when the light siD~alization on Route 83 is im-
proved.

Presentation President Teichert presented framed resolutions of appreciation

the extension of the Reck Road Contract for West Park, a
matter not on the agenda.

Case 71-3P JUDICIARY CO~I~'±TEE
Lake Briarwood Case 71-3P - Petition for rezoning and annexation south end of
Lake Briarwood with R-1 & R-3 (multiple-family). Trustee --
Ahem had reviewed the transcript on this case, and requested
a ~urther report from the administration. The matter was placed
in the Judiciary ConmLittee for consideration at the June 10th
meeting.
1971-72 MSD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
1971-72 Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Monte, mowd to authorize
MSD Maintenance the President to siva snd the Clerk to attest the contract
Agreement with the M~tropolitan Sanitary District in the amount of $37,250.00.

MANAGER'S REPORT
Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved to authorize the
administration to spend ~p to $2,000 for curb address and fire curb address &
hydrant painting by park-time youth help in the summer, fire department

Sealed bids were opened May 12, 1971 for the proposed replacement
of a pick-up truck by the purchase of a 1/2 ton truck. Grand bids for pick-up
Spaul~hing Auto Sales was the low bidder fo~ a Dodge D-100 at a truck
Bid price of $2,979.00 with a trade-in allowance of $450.00, or
a total cost to the Village of $2,529.00 ~- delivery in 30 - 45 days.

purchase of a Dodge D-100 1/2 ton pick-~p truck from Grand Spau~ding
Auto Sales for the purchsse price of $2,529.00.

OTHER BUSINESS
A resolution was presented establishing salaries in the Fire a~d
Police Departments. Section 7 regarding police perscnnel assigned establishing
as investigators or youth officer and fire personnel assinged as salaries in Fire
Firer~un-mechanic to receive the adchitional sum of $60.00 per month & Police Depts.
was deleted, and the succeeding sections were num~bered "7~ and "8".

Salaries" for general appraisal and discussion.
Trustee Scholten, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved to waive the
rules to consider au item not on the agenda for discussion of
HB 1207 pending in the State legislature. (Annexations, acquisition HB 1207
and disposition of real property, zoning changes of l0 acres or more pendin~ i~ State
and changes or modifications of Public Works facilities in excess lep~slat~J~
of $500,000.00 be submitted to the Northeastemn Illinois Planning
Cor~0ission before a mb~icipality can act thereon. )

27CS (Project T-5003 (18)
In order to execute the agreement between the State of Illinois -
Department of Public Works and Buildings and the Village of
Mount Prospect, it is required that a public hearing be held
with the residents of Hi-Lusi between West Prospect and Busse
Avenues regarding changing Hi-Lusi to a one-way street south-
bound at that location. A public hearing was scheduled before
the Public Health and Safety Committee on June 9th.
Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved to authorize
Topics Project the President and Clerk to sign and attest the Agreement for
T-5003 (18) Topics FroJect T-500B (18).
The Clerk was requested to list on future agendae a status
report on the Topics Project T-500B '(18), and to send notices
to the residents on Hi-Lusi regarding the proposed re-routing
of Hi-Lusi, and the public hemriug on June 9th.

Des Plaines Notice of Rezoning Petition - Mount Prospect Road
north of Golf Road, etc. from R-2 to C-2 and R-4 - hearing
June l, 1971 at 8:00 P.M. -The admdnistration was requested
to have a representative f~cm the Village attend.
Trustee Ahem reported there would be a discussion regarding low
income housing on J~ne 4th at 8:00 P.M. at River Trails Jr. High.
The annual bus tour of the Village will be held on Saturday,
May 22nd at 8:B0 A.M.
