PRESIDENT'S REPORT House Bill 365, if passed, would elLwlnate the reftmding of a ~ portion of the State income tax to n~nicipalities. At present House Bill 365 Mo~t Prospect receives approximately $200,000 annually in the ~ form of income tax refunded from the Skate. Honorary A resolution was submitted making honorary citizens of Mount citizens Prospect of the West German Touring Gyr~astics Team, and the following members of the team were presented with a flag of the Village as a token of friendship: Erich Sures, Dieter Hantetmann, Wilfred Beinecke, Peter Bruggemann, Dieter Buttger~it, Hans- Joachim Czoske, and their Coach, Peter Lan~aickel. This resolution is to be presented by President Teichert at the Mount Prospect High School April 10th. March appeared before the Board with intersection design studies ~nd recommended Aternate "D". Several members of the Mount Prospect Chamber of Con~erce were present~ Discussion took place on medification of Alternate "D" and Mr. ~arch considered the modification as outlined to be feasible. Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved the Board approve Plan "D" with the modification,~if allowed by the State of Illinois, to facilitate a right turn to Evergreen of southbound flow of traffic to M~in Street. An ordinance adopting the 1971 business licensing code was presented for first reading. Mr. Frakes of the Chamber of Commerce, stated business licensing the ordinance was -restrictive, oppressive and unconstitutional. Code A meeting was scheduled for Saturday A.M. March 17th to review the ordinance, following a special board meeting President Teichert called for 9:00 A.M. The Clerk was requested to place this ordinance on the a~e~-~da of the next board meeting to be held April 27th for final reading. PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAPkTY Trustee Reiter gave a resume of the Callero and Catino proposed Callero & Catino retention pond and the objections of residents in the area. The proposed rententior~ ac~istration has been requested to prel%mre for the Commiteee the pond costs and factors regarding extending the line in a longer route and the engineering feasibility, as an alternative. Capital Improvement and Personnel - Public Works The Public Works Committee recon~ends that the Village obtain Capital the two lots north of the ~xisting Public Works building for Improvement the expansion of this building during the next year. The Committee should Also investigate the equipment ~inventory containing the desi~ated useful lives of all Public Works equipment and apparatus in order ~o ~urther investigate the capital outlay and inprovement pro~n. Both of these items should be held in Co~ttee so that the next Committee will be able to follow through. Bodies MANAGER'S EEPOHT · Nuutington Estates Phase /V - Sewer and Water M~in Extension Huntington The Director of Public Works and Acting Village Engineer reported Estates Phase IV they reviewed the plans submitted by Ciorba, Spies, and 8ustafson for Huntington Estates Phase IV and find they comply with the v~rious subdivision ordinances and recommend approval. The water mains between Linneman Rd. and Commonwealth Edison Right- of-Way is oversized from 10" to 16", Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Furst, moved to approve the public inprOvements for Humtington Estates Phase IV - sewer and water main extension.
