ZBA 09-98, CareMatrix/Walgreen's, Southeast corner of Wolf and Kensington Roads (The Petitioner has requested deferral until December 1, 1998) 1. 2® reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN ANNEXATION AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF WOLF AND KENSINGTON ROADS 2. 2® reading of AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, CAREMATRIX/WALGREEN'S DEVELOPMENT 3. 2® reading of AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE LOT 1 OF CHARLES SUBDIVISION FROM R-X (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO R-4 (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) AND A CONDITIONAL USE TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NURSING HOME/CONGREGATE CARE FACILITY, AND TO REZONE LOT 2 FROM R-X (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO B-3 (COMMERCIAL) AND A CONDITIONAL USE TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DRIVE-THROUGH WALGREEN'S FACILITY 4. The Plan Commission recommended approval by a vote of 6-0. B. ZBA 17-98, 2200 S. Elmhurst Road, Country Inn and Suites 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2200 S. ELMHURST ROAD This Ordinance grants a Conditional Use for a 100-room hotel that includes a Variation to permit a thirty-nine foot (39') building height. The Zoning Board recommended approval of the request by a vote of 5-0. (Exhibit A) IX. NEW BUSINESS A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II ENTITLED "RULES OF ORDER" OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance amends the order of business of regular Village Board meetings by including the Pledge of Allegiance. (Exhibit B) B. Safety Commission recommendations: 1. Request for Yield sign at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Thayer Street; the Safety Commission recommends the installation of Yield signs on Thayer Street at Fairview Avenue by a vote of 7-0. 2. Request for Yield sign at the intersection of Eastwood Avenue and Thayer Street; the Safety Commission recommends denial of this request by a vote of 7-0. 3. Request for Yield sign at the intersection of Wille Street and Henry Street; the Safety Commission recommends the installation of Yield signs on Wille Street at Henry Street by a vote of 7-0. 4. Request for Yield sign at the intersection of Sunset Road and Elm Street; the Safety Commission recommends denial of the request by a vote of 7-0. 5. Request for Yield sign at the intersection of Sunset Road and Owen Street; the Safety Commission recommends denial of the request by a vote of 7-0. C. Request for Board approval and acceptance of the Mount Prospect National Bank public improvements D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $1,060,000 OF TAXABLE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1998, OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT The proceeds from these bonds will be used for property acquisition within the downtown redevelopment Tax Increment Finance area.
