C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 (ALCOHOL)
This Ordinance deletes the Class "S' liquor license issued to East Side Mario's,
100 E. Kensington, which has gone out of business. (Exhibit A)
D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 (ALCOHOL)
This Ordinance creates a Class "R' liquor license (service at dining tables only)
to the new owners of Salsa, 1801 W. Algonquin Road, formerly the site of Pizza Hut. (Exhibit B)

VII. COMMUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS - CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
VIII. OLD BUSINESS
A. ZBA 3-98, 1000 W. Central Road, Mt. Prospect Park District
The Petitioner is requesting the subject property be rezoned from I-1 (Industrial)
to C-R (Conservation Recreation); a Conditional Use for a 53,000 square foot
recreation complex; a variation to increase the maximum permitted lot coverage
from 25% to 62%; and variations to decrease the parking setbacks on the north
and south property lines.

3. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1000 W. CENTRAL ROAD (Exhibit E)
B. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE MOUNT PROSPECT LIONS CLUB AND THE VILLAGE
IN ORDER TO CONDUCT THE ANNUAL FARMERS MARKET (Exhibit F)
C. The following recommendations of the Safety Commission have been deferred
to a meeting in the near future:
1.Remove island located on Prospect Manor between Northwest
Highway and Walnut Street, then re-visit the parking situation
2No parking any time on the west side of Prospect Manor between
Walnut and Henry Streets
3.No parking any time on the north side of Walnut between Ridge Avenue
and Prospect Manor
4. No parking any time on the east side of Prospect Manor between
Northwest Highway and Walnut Street until such time as the island
is removed and the parking situation is re-visited.
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 24-97, Southeast corner White Oak and Douglas Avenue
1. The Petitioner is requesting the subject property be rezoned from R-X,
granted upon annexation, to R-1 in order to construct 4 single family
homes. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommends granting this
request by a vote of 6-0.
2. The Petitioner is requesting exceptions from the Development Code
to allow a right-of-way width of 40 feet, rather than the required 66 feet; to
reduce the minimum street from back of curb to back of curb to 25 feet,
rather than the required 31 feet; to reduce the minimum rear yard easement
to 15 feet, rather than the required 20 feet; and, to reduce the minimum
lot depth to 112 feet, rather than the required 120 feet. The Plan
Commission recommended granting these exceptions by a vote of 5-0.
B. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A LEASE BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND SPRINTCOM TO ALLOW
ANTENNAS ON THE VILLAGE WATER TOWER (Exhibit G)
C. A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 22-98 RELATIVE TO
NEGOTIATING WITH TOWN CENTRE L.L.C. FOR THE DOWNTOWN
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
This Resolution extends the date for reaching an agreement with Town Centre,
L.L.C. for the downtown redevelopment project. (Exhibit H)
X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Bid result:
1. Ambulance re-chassis
2. One rotary snow remover
3. One 6" trailer mounted trash pump
4. Weller Creek tree trimming
5. 1998 Street Reconstruction Program
6. Maple Street (between Gregory and Highland) water main replacement
B. Accept proposal for the rehabilitation of deep well #5, located at Highland and
Emerson Street.

discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including
hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity."
