MEETING OF THE MAYOR
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Krause called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
INVOCATION
The invocation was given by Trustee Floros.
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Mayor Krause Trustees. Floros
Minton Murauskis Richardson
Wattenberg
Trustee Hendricks arrived at 7:04 P.M.
CONSIDERATION OF WATER SOURCE PROGRAM
Mayor Krause noted that the water study report had been
received from Consoer, Townsend & Associates, and had been
distributed to the members of the Board for review.
The Village of Mount Prospect holds membership-in'DAM~
and Share + 3. A discussion ensued relative to the
advantages and disadvantages of participating in two
organizations whose purpose it is to seek Lake Michigan
water. It was then determined that entering into an
agreement with the Northwest Suburban Water System (Share +3)
would be best for the Village. ..
Mr. Raymond B. McCabe, Vice President 0f'Wau~erlek & Brown,
Inc., an investment underwriter, spoke to the Board
relative to the engineering firm proposed to be engaged
for studies. Mayor Krause explained that the enactment of
the agreement was only the first step in this program and
no final decisions had been made by member communities
as to various aspects involved.
Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Minton, moved to
waive the rule requiring two readings of an ordinance.

Motion carried.
Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Minton, moved for
passage of Ordinance No. 2791
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING NORTHWEST SUBURBAN WATER
SYSTEM AGREEMENT
Upon roll call: Ayes: Floros Minton Murauskis
Richardson Wattenberg
Nays: Hendricks
Mbtion carried.
Trustee Wattenberg, seconded by Trustee Murauskis, moved
to adjourn the meeting.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Unanimous
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:18 P.M.
