CABLENET, INC. Mr. Bob Mc Rann, representing Cablenet, Inc.,
AMTENNA addressed the Board on a recent problem with
the interpretation of the height regulati.ons
in an I-1 District. The staff has interpreted
that section as having no restrictions in the
I-1 District as to the height of an antenna,
which interpretation has been supported by
legal Counsel's opinion, however, the Planning
Commission has requested an appeal from that
interpretation, which appeal must go before
the Zoning Board of Appeals. Inasmuch as
Cablenet has a schedule to keep in order to
meet its franchise agreement with Mount Prospect
and nine other communities, it requested the i
Village Board to do whatever possible to
provide a definite decision. ~
It was the concensus o'f the Board that
Cablenet would have their support for locating
within the Village and the construction of the
250 foot antenna, being the subject of the
appeal. The Planning Commission will meet
November 4th, at which time the administration
will attend the meeting and Cablenet will give
a full presentation of their plan to locate
within the Village.
