COMMUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS - CITIZENS TO BE HEARD f~
Dolores Haugh, Executive Director of the Mount Prospect .C_Q~
Chamber of Commerce, presented the Mayor with ~membership M M~
for the Village in the Chamber for 1982.
A resident of the Village requested the Village to
have parking for the handicapped installed at the
State Unemployment Office, located in the ~hopping
center at Central Road and Main Street.

Board of Appeals requested the Board remand the
matter back to their Board for further study and
recommendation.

and regulate residential care homes, back to the
Zoning Board of Appeals.

Mayor Krause stated that she would have prefered the
matter to be decided at the Village Board level, noting
that she, along with the Village Board, supported the
concept of residential care homes.

NEW BUSINESS
AMEND CH. 18 An Ordinance was presented that would
~DWI" amend Chapter 18 to provide for stricter
regulations on driving while intoxicated.

moved to waive the rule requiring two readings
of an ordinance in order to take action on
the property ordinance.

Trustee Farley proposed that the fines for
those convicted of driving while under the
influence be increased over the fines
provided by State Statutes, so such fines
would be a minimum of $500 and maximum of
$2,5OO.

moved for passage of Ordinance No. 3180, to
include the increased fines.

"DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED, TRANSPORTING

MC CABE RE-SUB. A Plat of Resubdivision was presented for property
253 E. RAND RD. located at 253 East Rand Road, commonly known as
Scotland Yard Restaurant, which plat is entitled
"Mc Cabe Resubdivison". The resubdivision would
comply with the Village Code and place the lot into
one lot of record.
Trustee Miller, seconded by Trustee Murauskis,
moved to authorize the Mayor to sign and Clerk to
attest her signature on the Mc Cabe Plat of
Resubdivision.

to authorize an increase in salary for the Village
Manager to $48,500 a year, which raise would be
effective from January 1, 1982.
