A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4857
GRANTING CERTAIN VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED AT 280-290 WESTGATE ROAD IN THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance allows the release of escrow funds in lieu of entering into a
covenant for future streetlight expenses. (Exhibit B)
B. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 22
OF THE VILLAGE CODE ENTITLED "METERS AND RATES"
This ordinance authorizes a 4% increase in water and sewer rates effective
June 1, 1999. (Exhibit C)
C. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND NORWOOD
CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT

X. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 02-99, NAMCO Cybertainment, Inc., 999 N. Elmhurst Road
The Petitioner is requesting a Conditional Use permit for a 2,228 square
foot indoor entertainment facility at Randhurst Mall. The Zoning
Board of Appeals recommended approval by a vote of 5-0.
B. ZBA 04-99, LaSalle Bank, 200 E. Kensington Road
The Petitioner is requesting a Conditional Use permit for the expansion of an
existing drive-through facility from two lanes to four lanes at the Randhurst
Shopping Center LaSalle Bank branch. The Zoning recommended approval
by a vote of 5-0.
C. SRB 01-99, Text Amendment
The proposed text amendment to Chapter 7, Section 7.205 of the Village Code
would allow for the display of signs on bus shelters in public rights-of-way. The
Sign Review Board recommended denial of the proposed text amendment by a
vote of 5-0.
D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance amends portions of Chapter 11 and Chapter 23 of the Village
Code relative to solicitations in the Village. (Exhibit E)
E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance amends Chapter 18 of the Village Code to allow police officers
to detain and ticket motorists solely for failure to wear seat belts. (Exhibit F)
F. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance amends Chapter 23 of the Village Code by adding
Section 23.206, which prohibits obscene and harassing telephone calls. (Exhibit G)
G. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance establishes regulations governing the placement of publication
vending equipment on public property. (Exhibit H)
H. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREED JUDGMENT ORDER FOR PROPERTY AT
3 WEST CENTRAL ROAD, COMMONLY KNOWN AS MCLEAN MEDICAL
