MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
JUNE 11, 1985
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Krause called the Special Meeting to order at 7:31 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Mayor Carolyn Krause
Trustee Gerald Farley
Trustee Leo Floros
Trustee Norma Murauskis
Trustee George Van Geem
Trustee Theodore Wattenberg
COMMUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS - CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
Mayor Krause introduced Nancy Morgan, Co-Ordinator of the
Human Service Division, and Jan Abernethy, Assistant
Co-Ordinator. Ms. Morgan and Mrs. Abernethy stated that
the Human Services Division of Mount Prospect had joined
together with Arlington Heights, Schaumburg and Palatine
in a program known as Senior Shared Housing, which is a
project enabling affordable housing for senior citizens
who are willing to share quarters. Since senior housing
is limited, this program has proved successful in providing
such housing to the senior citizens of the area.
This program was entered in the Governor's Home Town Award
and selected from the 300 entries in the category for
2nd Place. The plaque presented by the Governor will be
shared between the 4 communities, however, a large sign
was also presented to each community and will be erected
at the entrance to the Village at Golf & Elmhurst Roads.
The Mayor and Board expressed their congratulations to
those involved with the work in order to achieve this honor.
A Resoltuion was presented that would recognize the ownership
and management changes involved with Cable T.V. Cablenet, Inc.
has merged with Telenois, a Division of Telecommunications,
with the new partnership known as Cablenet Associates.
Trustee Van Geem, seconded by Trustee Wattenberg, moved for
passage of Resolution No. 33-85
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE
PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT AS IT RELATES TO
CABLENET ASSOCIATES
Upon roll call: Ayes: Farley, Floros, Murauskis,
Van Geem, Wattenberg
Nays: None
Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Trustee Wattenberg, seconded by Trustee Van Geem, moved
to adjourn the Special Meeting.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Unanimous
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:48 P.M.
