A brief history was given of the property and the case. Mayor Krause stated that the petitioner had not demonstrated sufficient evidence to warrant a commercial venture in a residential area, and given that fact the other requests involved with this case would be void. It is proposed that the parking be in the front yard and that the building setback be the same as the small shopping area immediately east of the subject property. The petitioner stated that he and his family plan to develop this property and the expense of installing a street light as well as bringing water and sewer service to the 2 vacant lots that would be created by the subdivision would be too expensive.
