A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS IN THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has entered its thirteenth year as an
entitlement community under the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program;
and
WHEREAS, in the past eleven years the Village has used these funds to implement
various projects that address the community development and housing needs of its low- and
moderate-income and elderly residents, to reduce and prevent the occurrence of
deterioration in the central area of the Village, to increase accessibility for the handicapped,
plan neighborhood street improvements, and to address other community needs in
conformance with the objectives of the Community Development Block Grant Program;
and
WHEREAS, there is a need for additional funds for the Boxwood Drive Improvement
Project, which is part of the Village's Community Development Block Grant effort to
reduce neighborhood blight; and
VOtEREAS, there are available funds in the Multi-Family Housing Rehabilitation
Rebate Program and in Administration; and
VOtEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 21, 1990 to receive comments
from the public on this matter; and
VOtEREAS, the Plan Commission voted in favor of recommending approval of this
transfer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect hereby approve the following transfer of Community Development Block Grant
funds in the following amounts for a total transfer of $100,000
From: Multi Family Housing Rehabilitation Program: $85,000.00
To: Boxwood Street Improvements: $85,000.00
From: Administration: $15,000.00
To: Boxwood Improvement Project: $15,000.00
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect hereby authorize the Village Manager to transfer said funds.
SECTION THREE: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
