RESOLUTION NO. -2 3 - ~JI
WHEREAS the corporate authorities have been duly notified of
the pendency of a petition for the annexation to the Village of Mount
Prospect of certain property commonly known as Wedgewood Terrace as
more fully described in the formal notice published in the Mount Prospect
I

I in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect, and it is the

Herald on August 27, 1964, and served on the Village Clerk on September 9,
1964;
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the said annexation is desirable and
sense of the corporate authorities that the annexation should proceed
forthwith.
WHEREAS there is now pending action to annex to the Village of
Mount Prospect certain property commonly known as Old Orchard Country
Club, which property lies to the north of the aforesaid Wedgewood Terrace
property and whereas it is anticipated that this action will be consummated
within 30 to 60 days,
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED that the prior annexation of the

I Wedgewood property will facilitate the most suitable, desirable and

properly integrated development of the corporate boundaries.
WHEREAS it appears that certain present or anticipated annexations
to the Village of Mount Prospect may encompass one or more areas which
will thereby constitute unincorporated enclaves wholly surrounded by the
incorporated area of the Village of Mount Prospect,
IT IS FURTHER HEREBY RESOLVED that it is the present express
purpose and intention of the corporate authorities to act promptly to
I effect the involuntary annexation of such properties according to law upon

their becoming legally subject to such annexation by reason of being
wholly encompassed within the Village limits as aforesaid.
