HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 10-65 04/27/1965 RESOLUTION NO. 10-65 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 20, 1965, AND DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF. WHEREAS, a regular election was held in and for the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 20, 1965, for the purpose of electing a Village President, a Village Clerk, three Village Trustees, each for a four-year term, and four Library Directors, two for a six-year term, one for a four-year term (to fill a vacancy) and one for a two-year term (to fill a vacancy); and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have canvassed the votes cast at said election and are ready to report: I II I I I Ii II II I' II I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: law. Section 1. That said election was duly held as provided by Section 2. That 6,091 votes were cast in the following man- ner: For Village President: Name Number of Votes Daniel Congreve 3,612 Clarence O. Schlaver 2 , 425 G. Michael Mokate 1 Harold Ross 1 For Village Clerk: Richard H. Monroe 3,371 Ruth C. Wilson 2,657 II II For Village Trustees: Robert 1-1. Colfer Joseph J. Grittani Robert D. Teichert William L. Phillips Fred 1-1. Buhrke \villiam J. Reinert 2,297 3,552 3,488 3,794 2,505 2,426 For Public Library Directors: Six-Year Term Franklin R. Friday 2,720 Hary C. Gardner 2,921 Meta W. That inasmuch as Daniel Congreve received the highest number of votes, he is hereby declared elected to the office of Village President of the Village of Mount Prospect. That inasmuch as Richard H. Monroe received the highest number of votes, he is hereby declared elected to the office of Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect. That inasmuch as Robert W. Colfer, Joseph J. Grittani, and Robert D. Teichert received the highest number of votes, be and each of them are hereby declared elected to the office of Trustee of the Village of Hount Prospect. That inasmuch as Franklin R. Friday, Mary C. Gardner, Charles J. Sullivan and Marion R. Clark received the highest number of votes, be and each of them are hereby declared elected to the office of Library Director of the Village of Mount Prospect. That all foregoing officials so elected shall qualify in the manner and time prescribed by law. Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED and APPROVED this 27th day of April, 1965.
