HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 09-66 02/22/1966 1 c ~ .-J .' -^ RESOLUTION NO. 9-66 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF LIBRARY DIRECTORS OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WITH RESPECT TO THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE WHEREAS, the Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined to purchase a site for use by the public library of the Village of Mount Prospect, and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is the fee simple owner of said real estate, to wit: Lot Nine (9) in Block Four (4) in Busse and Wille's Resubdivision in Mount Prospect in the West Half (1/2) of Section 12, Town 41 North, Range lIt East of the Third Principal Meridian WHEREASt the Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined to spread the cost of purchasing such site over a five year period, and' WHEREAS. the Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect has transmitted to the President and Board of Trustees of the said Village its Resolution No. 1966, passed and approved January 17, 1966, a certified copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 1, and which is by this reference made a part hereof, with respect to the purchase of the site described therein for a consideration of $33,500.00, payable $16,000.00 on the execution of a contract to purchase the said property and the balance of $17,500.00 at a rate of $3,500.00 per annum, commencing on September 1, 1966, and rmEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the aforesaid Resolution of the said Board of Library Directors and are of the opinion that the site proposed to be purchased is needed to provide additional necessary land for the public library of the Village of Mount Prospect and with a site for future expansion of the library building, and o ~, "~ ; WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees has determined that bonds shall not be issued for the cost of acquiring such site; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT.. ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the purchase of the above-described property by the Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect on the terms and conditions set forth in a certain Resolution No.. 1966 of the said Board of Library Directors, passed and approved January 17~ 1966 hereinabove referred to as Exhibit 1, to this Resolution be, and the same is hereby approved. SECTION TWO: That the Village President is herein authorized to execute the contract for a warranty deed (copy attached hereto) on the property referred to herein.
