'" RESOLUTION NO. 39-66 A RESOLUTION ALLOWING PARKING ON PARKWAY AT 249 EAST PROSPECT AVENUE WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect heard testimony on the proposed use of the public parkway in front of 249 East Prospect Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect determined to maintain its accepted general policy of allowing no parking on public parkways and denied the request; and WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees heard the facts pertaining to this request and determined that as the Judiciary Committee it had no alternative but to uphold the decision of the Plan Commission, but recommended to the Board of Trustees that it be charged to and studied by the Fire and Police Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the Fire and Police Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect met on November 2, 1966 and determined that the parking on parkways existed on both sides of the subject property, and said properties were engaged in similar operations; and WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Police Department Accident Prevention Bureau made and submitted a report of the issue involved and determined the feasibility of parking on the parkway located at 249 East Prospect Avenue, subject to the compliance of certain safety standards; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the matter herein and have determined that same is for the interest of the Village of Mount Prospect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT: SECTION ONE: That diagonal parking be allowed on the parkway located at 249 East Prospect Avenue subject to the suggested recommendations set forth by the Mount Prospect Police Department Accident Prevention Bureau. SECTION TWO: That this permission for parkway parking shall be personal in nature running to Luther ~ Pederson, Inc., as occupants of the premises and not running with the premises. SECTION THREE: That all requirements of the Village Code shall i be applicable to these premises except parkway parking as noted herein. SECTION FOUR: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law. AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 PASSED this 6th day of December, 1966.
