nESOLDrION NO. 17 --t 1
A RESOLUrION ESTABLISHING PRECINCTS AND POLLING,
PLACES FUR REFERENDUM ISSUE
WHEREAS, on March 15, 1967 Judge James E. Murphy of the County
Department of the Circuit Court of Cook County did enter the following
order, to-wit:
"That the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect be and the same are hereby
ordered and directed to submit the proposition,
'Shall the Village of Hount Prospect adopt
the managerial form of municipal government?'
at the general municipal election to be held on
Tuesday, April 18, 1967, pursuant to the applicable
provisions of the Illinois Municipal Code."
and,
'NHEREAS, said order has been duly served on the Clerk of the
Village of Mount Prospect at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees
March 21, 1967; and
WHEREAS, the Village Clerk has reviewed and detennined the
logical divisions of the Village for the purpose of conducting an efficient
and orderly referendum; and
WHEREAS, these divisions correspond to the divisions detennined
for the general election of the Village of Mount Prospect to be held on
Tuesday, April 18, 1967;
NO\iJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF rlOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the precincts and polling places for said
referendum shall be:
PRECINCT 1: Polling Place: Village Hall
112 E. Northwest Highway
Mount Prospect, Illinois
which includes that part of Mount Prospect south of Central Road, west
of Mount Prospect Road and north of Northwest Highway.
PRECINCT 2: Polling Place: Lions Park School
300 East Council Trail
Mount Prospect, Illinois
which includes that part of Mount Prospect south of Northwest Highway,
west of the eastern boundary of the Village, north of Weller Creek, and
east of Emerson Street and that portion of Mount Prospect lying west
of Emerson, north of Heller Creek, east of 83, and south of Lincoln'Stret;;t.
PRECINCJr 3: Polling Place: Sunset Park School
601 West Lonnquist Blvd.
Mount Prospect, Illinois
which includes that part of Mount Prospect west of the Eastern Boundary
of the Village, south of Weller Creek and north of Golf Road, east of
Elmhurst Avenue, and that portion of Mount Prospect lying \'lest of
Elmhurst Avenue, south of Lonnquist Boulevard, east of WeGo Trail and
bounded on the south by Golf Road and the innnediate Village limits.

Mount Prospect, Illinois
which includes that part of Mount Prospect "lest of Busse Road, south of
Lincoln Street and north of Golf Road, bourded on the west by the
Village limits, and all that part of ~'!ount Prospect lying east of
fusse Road, south of wnnquist Boulevard, west of HeGo Trail, and
north of Golf Road, bourded on the west by the Village limits.

which includes that part of Mount Prospect lying south of Central Road,
west of WeGo Trail, north of Lincoln Street and east of Meier Road.
PRECINCT 7: Polling Place: Lincoln School
700 West Lincoln Street
Mount Prospect, Illinois
which includes that part of Mount Prospect lying south of Central Road and
Prospect Avenue, v.[est of Emerson Street, north of Lincoln Street, east
of WeGo Trail.
PRECINCT 8: Polling Place: Friedrichs Funeral Hane
3 North Ridge Street
Mount Prospect, Illinois
which inclooes that part of Mount Prospect lying south of Northwest Highway
and Isabella street, west of Pine Street, north of Central Road and east of
Arthur Avenue.
PRECINCl' 9: Polling Place: Gregory School
400 East Gregory Street

which includes that part of Mount Prospect lying north of Central Road,
east of Pine Street, south of Kensington Road, lying west of Rand Road
and that portion of the Village of Mount Prospect lying east of Rand Road,
south of Gregory Street ani north of Central Road, bourded on the east by
the Village limits.

west of Pine street, north of Isabella Street, and bounded on the west
by the Village limits.
PRECINCl' 11: Polling Place: EUclid Avenue School

which incluies that part of Mount Prospect lying north of KensingtonRoad
and bounded by the Village limits of r.'Iount Prospect on the east, north
and west, ani that portion of Mount Prospect lying south of Kensington
Road, east of Rand Road, north of Gregory Street, and bounded on the
east by the Village limits.

PRECINCT 12: Pollinr .Place: Robert Frost School
1308 Cypress Drive
Mount Prospectt Illinois
which includes that part of r~ount Prospect lyinf south of Golf Road and
west of Linneman Roadt bounded on the west and south of the Villape limits
and those portions of the Villape of Hount Prospect lyinp east of Linneman
Road and south of Church Road.
SECTION THO: The p.recincts or votinp districts for such
referendum and polling places shall be those desipnated in the preceding
Section.
SECTION THREE: The judges of referendum shall be those as
shall be hereafter designated by the President and Board of Trustees to
serve as referendum officials.
SECTION FOUR: The ballot to be used at such referendum shall
be in the form prescribed by statute and it shall be the duty of the Villape
Clerk to see to the preparation of the official ballots for the referendumt
and to cause a sample of such ballot to be published prior to the day of
referendum in a neHspaper of feneral circulation published in the Village, and
to provide the necessary referendum supplies for each voting district or precinct.
SECTION FIVE: Said referendum and all matters pertaininp
thereto shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by statute for the conduct
of a referendum regarding the issue of adopting the manaperial form of
municipal government.
SECTION SIX: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and ~fter its pass ape and approval in the manner provided by law.
