I' 1 c .-.", -to. -J ;1 Ii !r RESOLUI'ION NO. 21-67 A RESOLUI'ION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE REGULAR ELECTION HElD ON APRIL 18 J 1967 J AND DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF. !l n [;: j H I ~ t ~ [, WHEREAS, a regular election was held in a:rrl for the Village of Ii Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 18, 1967 for the ~l purpose of electing three Village Trustees, each for a four-year term, 11 and three Library Directors, two for a six-year term and one for a two-year PI term. 1 WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have canvassed the !I votes cast at said election and are ready to report; l' 11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF 1 TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That said election was duly held as provided by law. SECTION TWO: That 4499 votes were cast for Village Trustees and 4498 votes were cast for Library Directors in the following manner: FOR VILLAGE TRUSTEES John P.Kilroy 2,425 Earl w. Lewis 2,571 Donald R. Rogers 2,483 James J. Atkinson 1,870 Sheldon S. Mells 1,325 Charles R. Green 1,316 Harry R. Bruhl 1,166 36 defective ballots were cast and not counted. FOR PUBLIC LIBRARY DIRECTORS Six-Year Term Thomas F. Grady Gilbert I. Liebenow 3,543 3,523 Two-Year Term Marion R. Clark 3,703 342 defective ballots were cast and not counted. SECTION THREE: That inasmuch as John P. Kilroy, Earl W. Lewis and Donald R. Rogers received the highest number of votes, be and each of them are hereby declared elected to the office of Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect. ~ That inasmuch as Thomas F. Grady, Gilbert I. Liebenow, and Marion R. Clark received the highest number of votes, be and each of them are hereby declared elected to the office of Library Director of the Village of lVlount Prospect. That all foregoing officials so elected shall qualify in the manner and time prescribed by law. SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
