RESOLUI'ION NO. 29-68
A RESOLUI'ION FOR THE PURCHASE OF LAND AW ACENT TO WEILER CREEK
WHEREAS, the administration of the Village of Mount Prospect have
determined to purchase a site for use as a retention basin in conjunction with
Special Assessment #70; and
WHEREAS, said site can be purchased for $56,000.00 and $200,000.00
has been appropriated for the acquisition of land this fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have reviewed the aforesaid matter ano. are of the opinion that
the site proposed to be purchased is needed to provide additional necessary
land for the retention of storm water; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have determined that
bonds shall not be issued for the cost of acquiring said site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, IU,INOIS:
SECTION 1: That the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois purchase
the following described property of approxjrnately five (5) acres in size:
That part of Lot ~'K':' in Kirchoff's Subdivision of the Northwest
lilt of the Northwest lilt and the North 10 chains of the Southwest
lilt of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 11, Township ltl North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows:
Cormnencing at the Southwest comer of said Lot "K" thence North
along the West line of said Lot 283.66 feet; thence East parallel
with the South line of said Lot 759.49 feet to the center of Weller
Creek; thence Southeasterly along the center line of \'leller Creek
283.93 feet to the South line of said Lot "K"; thence West 776.35
feet to the place of begiming;

All that certain strip of lanp lying between the North line of the
South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 11,
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
and between the South line of that part of Lot "K" in Kirchoff's
Subdivision of the Northwest lilt of the Northwest 1/4 and the
North 10 chains of the Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of
Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian described as follows:
Conrnencing at the southwest comer of said Lot "K", thence North
along the West line of said Lot 283.66 feet; thence East parallel
with the South line of said Lot 759.lt9 feet to the center of Weller
Creek; thence Southeasterly along the center line of Weller Creek
283.93 feet to the South line of said Lot ilK"; thence West 776.35
feet to the place of beginning. I
~ SECTION 2: That the purchase price of the aforementioned property i
shall not exceed the sum of $56,000.00 and said purchase price shall be paid I

SECTION 3: That legal title to the aforementioned tract shall be in
ithe name. of the "VIILAGE OF MOUNT PROSPEGr, ILLlliOIS, a rmmicipal corporation."
: SECTION 4: That the President of the Board of Trustees of the
;Village of Mount Prospect is authorized to sign, execute, and deliver a
pontract to purchase the aforementioned land (as per copy attached hereto)
pursuant to the terms and amount aforementioned; and that the Clerk of the
fillage of Mount Prospect is authorized to attest said signature.
