AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE THIRTY-THREE (~3) FOOT HALF
STREET ADJAOENT TO LOTS OBi (1) AND TWENTY (20) IN BLOCK TWO
(2) OF THE ERNST EUSSE ADDITION TO MOUNT PROSPECT, BEING A SUB-
DIVISION OF THE SOUTH F'IVE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE (543) FEET or T*
EAST HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION THIRTY-FOUR (34),
TOWNSHIP FORTY-TWO (42) NORTR, RANGE ELEVEN (11) EAST OF TD
THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS in and by the subdivision plat of the Ernst
Busse Addition to Mount Prospect, being a subdivision of the
South Five Hundred Forty-three (543) feet of the East Half of
the Southwest Quarter of Section Thirty-four (34), Township
Forty-two (42) North, Range Eleven (11) East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian, there w,s dedicated by the owners of said
p~emises a thirty-three (~~) foot strip of land along the aorth
line of and adjacent to Lots One (l) and Twenty (20) in Block
Two (2) of said subdivision, as a half street, it being con-
templated that upon the subdivision of the premises to the north
of said above described subdivision a further strip of land
would be dedicated, so as to create a full width street north
of and adjacent to said Block Two (2) of said Ernst Busse Sub-
division; and,
WHEREAS since the approval and filing of the above
described subdivision plat the premises to the north thereof
have been subdivided upoh a plan whereby the public street is
located approximately eighty-four (84) feet to the north of
said dedicated thirty-three (33) foot strip of land; and.
WHEREAS by reason of the location of a new street ap-
proximately eighty-four (8~ feet north of said half street
as aforesaid, said half street is no longer of any benefit to
the public; and,
WHEREAS the President and Board of Trustees of sa14
. Village have determined that public interest will be subserved
by vacating said thirty-three (33) foot Balf street so as to

BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect:
SECTION 1. That the thirty-three (33) foot strip of
land adjacent to and north of Lots One (1) and Twenty (20) in
Block Two (2) of the Ernst Busse Addition to Mount Prospect,
being a subdivision of the South Five Hundred Forty-three (543)
feet of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section
Thirty-four (34), Township Forty-two (42) North, Range Eleven
(11) East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the Village of
i Mount Prospect, County of Cook and State of Illinois, hereto-
fore dedicated in and by a subdivis.ion plat of said subdivision
as and for a public street, or part of a publiC street, and as
colored in red and indicated by the words Dhereby vacated", on
the plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty is
hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby
vacated and closed so as to relieve the Village and public
from the burden and responsibility of maintaining said street,
said street being no longer required for public use and the
public interests being subserved by its vacation.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage, subject to the conditions
that the owner of);he lands abuttlr.g on said street shall with-
in sixty (60) days from the passage of this ordinance file for
record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois, and in the office of the Registrar of Titles of said
Cook County, if any of said lands abutting on said street,are
registered, a certified copy of this ordinance.
