RESOLUTION NO. 11-91
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
HELD APRIL 2, 1991
WHEREAS, the Consolidated General Election was held in and for the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday,
April 2, 1991, for the purpose of electing three (3) Village
Trustees (4 year terms), two (2) Library Trustees (6 year term),
and one (1) Library Trustee (2 year term); and
WHEREAS, the following referendum question was presented to the
electors of the Village of Mount Prospect:
"Shall the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount
Prospect authorize the construction of a new Fire and Police
Station at a cost of $6,992,000?"
and
WHEREAS, the local Canvassing Board has conducted the official
canvass and presented the results; and
WHEREA~, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect do hereby declare the results of the April 2, 1991
election for said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to the Consolidated Election Laws of
the State of Illinois, a regular election'was held for the Village
of Mount Prospect, Tuesday, April 2, 1991.
SECTION TWO: That an official canvas was conducted by the Local
Canvassing Board for the Village of Mount Prospect declaring 6,594
ballots were cast as follows:
Villaqe Trustee - 3 positions, 4 year terms
George A. Clowes 4,862
Paul Hoefert 4,963
Irvana Keagy Wilks 4,846
Library Trustee - 2 positions, 6 year terms
William M. Blaine, Jr. 3,572
Sandy A. Truesdale 3,818
Jane P. Winters 3,220
Library Trustee - 1 position, 2 year term
Thomas J. Dunn 4,047
David M. Martinez 1,498
Referendum Question - Fire and Police Station
Yes 4,695
No 1,756
SECTION THREE: A) That inasmuch as Paul Hoefert, George A.
clowes, and Irvana Keagy Wilks received the greatest number of
votes, they and each of them are hereby declared elected to the
office of Village Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for four
(4) year terms.

B) That inasmuch as Sandy Truesdale and William
M. Blaine, Jr. received the greatest number of votes, they and each
of them are hereby declared elected to the Office of Library
Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for 6 year terms.
C) That inasmuch as Thomas J. Dunn received the
greatest number of votes, he is hereby declared elected to the
Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for a
2 year term.
D) That inasmuch as the Referendum Question
pertaining to the Fire and Police Station received greatest number
of votes affirmative votes, it is declared that this Question is
passed.
SECTION FOUR: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a certified copy of this Resolution to the Cook County Clerk
Electibn Department and the State Board of Election Commissioners,
as provided by law.
SECTION FIVE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.

PASSED and APPROVED this 3rd day of April, 1991.
