This deposit is to be refund- iiil able upon request for termination of service, except in cases ii!1 1"1 ili! where there is an unpaid amount due the Village of Mount Prospect 1111,' Ii' III: for said service, in which event that amount is deductable from IIII 111'1 said deposit when less or applied when in excess. iii, That all consumers of water furnished by the Village illi 1,1 1'1 of Mount Prospect shall pay for same according to the follo\ving Ii Ii ii rates and charges, where meters can be permanently set: I I, .-1 For the first 5,000 gallons $.32 per thousand gallons For the next 5,000 gallons .28 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .24 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .20 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .16 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .16 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .16 per thousand gallons For the next lO,OOO gallons .16 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .16 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .16 per thousand gallons For the next 10,000 gallons .16 per thousand gallons The foregoing rates are to be for water consumed during the period of three months, or fraction thereof, for each individual consumer and in no case shall the charge be less than One Dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per quarter or fraction there- of. Special rates may be fixed by the Board of Trustees for amounts over One Hundred Thousand gallons (100,000) per quarter. In the event any meter fails to register properly, the Water Collector shall make an estimate of the water used during the period of such failure based upon the average quantity registered by such meter during the preceding like periods. No allowance shall be made for leakage. All water rates, assessments and rents shall be due and payable on the First day of January, April, July and October, of each year, for the quarter preceding. If the entire amount so due is not paid within twenty days after the same is due, the collector shall at once order the water shut off and meter taken out of the premises of the person so delinquent and the water shall not be turned on again until all past due rents, together with a charge of Two Dollars ($2.00) for shutting off and turning on the water and resetting the meter are paid. Where the meter is not removed, the consumer shall pay the regular minimum rate of One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per quarter. All water used for which rates and methods of measurements are not specifically provided for by any ordinance -I \ shall be estimated by the Superintendent of Water vyorks or such officer as may be designated by the President and Board of Trustees to perform the duties of such Superintendent, and assessed at the rate of Sixteen Cents (16~) per thousand gallons or fraction thereof. Whenever practicable a meter shall be used as the basis of such estimate. The following are adopted as and for the charges and rates for water used by water consumers where meters cannot be installed: For laying stone, per cord . . . . .$.10 For laying brick, per thousand . . . .10 For wetting brick per thousand . . . .10 For plastering,per l)undred sq.yds. . .20 For laying cement or concrete work per 100 cu. feet . . . . . . . . .20 SECTION 2.
