RESOLUTION NO. 14-92
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND
THE MOUNT PROSPECT TOWNHOME ASSOCIATION GENERALLY
LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LINCOLN AND MAPLE STREETS
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Townhome Association, generally located
at the northwest corner of Lincoln and Maple Streets, in the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois experience a shortage in
parking spaces for the residents of the Association; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect owns and operates a parking
lot at the northeast corner of Maple and Lincoln Streets, commonly
known as the Maple Street Parking Lot; and
WHEREAS, representatives of the Mount Prospect Townhome Association
have submitted a request to the Village of Mount Prospect for
permission to utilize the Maple Street Parking Lot for overnight
parking; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect
have drafted an Agreement between the Village and the Mount
Prospect Townhome Association granting permission for specified
vehicles to utilize the Maple Street Parking Lot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect have agreed to permit specified residents of the
Mount Prospect Townhome Association to park their vehicles in the
Maple Street Parking Lot, the terms and conditions are set forth
in the Agreement attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as
Exhibit "A".
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.

one paring space per ~t for ~e Maple Street to~omes. Users of the p~ng spaces
sh~ p~k in ~e spaces at the sou~west co,er of ~e p~ng lot.

November 30th, dung the te~ of this ~eement.
3. Automobiles may not be p~ked ~ ~e ~mmuter lot p~or to 7:00 p.m. ~d

4. Membe~ of the ~socia~on sh~l pay to ~e Village of Mourn Prospe~ $120.00
for ~e fee ~o p~k at ~e Maple S~eet lot from Ap~ 1st ~rough November 30th of each
ye~. Pa~en~ sh~l be made no later th~ M~ch 31 of each ye~ at ~e F~ce
Dep~ment at Village Hall. ~sociation members ~ be issued a Mo~t Prospe~ p~g
s~cker. Such s~cker sh~ be displayed ~ the ~so~afion sticker des~bed in P~a~aph
5. The Homeowners shall be responsible for the issuance of a sticker or placard
indicating that a vehicle is permitted to park in the designated parking area. Failure to
display the sticker will result in the issuance of a citation and towing of the vehicle by the
Village's authorized towing contractor.
6. It is understood that it is the obligation of the Association to advise its members
of the requirements of this Agreement. Any continued violation of this Agreement by any
member of the Association shall be sufficient reason to revoke this Agreement with the
Association.
7. This Agreement shall be in effect through November 30, 1992 and shall be
extended for a period of twelve (12) months thereafter for each succeeding year provided
neither party gives written notice of its intent to terminate the Agreement at least thirty 00)
days prior to November 30th of each year.
8. The minutes from the Association meeting authorizing execution of this
Agreement shall be attached hereto.
