THE ANNUAL LEVY ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND ASSESSMENT OF
TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
MAY 1. 1942. AND ENDING APRIL 30. 1943.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on, to-wit,
June 10, A.D. 1942, duly passed the annual appropriation bill
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, for
the fiscal year beginning May I, 1942, and ending April 30,
1943; and
WHEREAS, the said a.nnual appropriation bill was duly
published on the 19th day of June, A.D. 1942, in the Mount
Prospect Herald, a newspaper published in the said Village of
Mount Prospect, and also by posting copies of said annual
apporpriation bill in three public places in the said Village;
and
WHEREAS, it shall be necessary to levy on all tax-
able property within the said Village of Mount Prospect for
the said current fiscal year tor the following objects and
purposes:

Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, County
of Cook and State of Illinois:
Section 1. Tha,t the sum of Eleven Thousand Six Hundred
Sixty-Nine Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($11,669.65), being the
net amount to be levied of appropriations heretofore made for
corporate purposes for the fiscal year beginning May I, 1942,

and ending April 30, 1943, as appropriated for the current
fiscal year by the se.id Annual Appropriation Bill, be and the
same is hereby levied on all taxable property within the said
Village of Mount Prospect for said current fiscal year; the
various objects and purposes for which said appropriations
were heretofore made are set forth under the column entitled
"Amounts Appropriated" and the specific amount hereby levied.
for each object and purpose is as set forth under the column
entitled "Amounts Levied."

Hundred Dollars ($3,200.00), being the amount heretofore ap-
propriated for the collection and disposal of garbage for the
fiseal year beginning May I, 1942 and ending April 30, 1943,
be and the same is hereby specially levied on all taxable prop-
erty within the said Village of Mount Prospect for said current
fiscal yearj the various objects and purposes for which said
appropriations were heretofore made are set forth under the

Section 3. That the sum of Four Thousand Five
Hundred Twenty-two Dollars and Fifty-one Cents ($4,522.51),
being the amount of the deficiency in the collection of taxes
heretofore levied for retirement of principal and interest on
bonds issued in pursuance of an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance

Authorizing and Directing the Issuance of Bonds of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, in the Amount of
Seventy-Five Hundred Dollars ($7500.00) for the Purpose of
Obtaining Money for the Purchase of a Fire Truck and the Con-
struction of an Extension to the Village Hall for the Purpose
of Housing such Fire Truck, and Providing for the Collection
of a Direct Annual Tax for the Payment of the Principal and
Interest of said Bonds," duly passed on the 9th day of May,
1928 and published as by law required, be and the same is
hereby specially levied on all taxable property within the said
Village of Mount Prospect for the said current fiscal year;
that the specific amount hereby specially levied for the pay-
ment of principal and interest is as follows:

Paying the Expenses of Installing such Pump and Equipment and
