THE ANNUAL LEVY ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
PROVIDIBG FOR THE LEVY AND ASSESSMENT OF
TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1,
1944. AND ENDING APRIL. 30, 19~5

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on, to-wit,
June 6, A.D. 19~~, duly passed the annual appropriation bill
ot the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, for
the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1944, and ending April 30,
19~5; and
WHEREAS, the said annual appropriation bill was duly
published on the 9th day of June, A.D. 19~, in the Mount
Prospect Herald, a newspaper published in the said Village of
Mount Prospect, and also by posting copies of said annual
appropriation bill in three public places in the said Village;
and
WHEREAS, it shall be necessary to levy on all taxable
property within the said Village of Mount Prospect for the said
current fiscal year for the following objects and purposes:

Mount Prospect Public Library
Garbage Disposal

NOW, THEREFORE, BE n ORDAIN'ED by the President and
Board of Trustees ot the Village ot Mount Prospect, County of
Cook and State of Illinois:
Section 1. That the sum of Twenty-three Thousand
One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($23,150.00), being the net amount
to be levied of appropriations heretofore made for corporate
purposes for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 19~~, and ending
April 30, 19~5, as appropriated for the current fiscal year
by the said Annual Appropriation Bill, be and the same is

hereby levied on all taxable property within the said Village
of Mount Prospect for said current fiscal year; the various
objects and purposes for which said appropriations were here-
tofore made are set forth under the column entitled "Amounts
Appropriated" and the specific amount hereby levied for each

"Amounts Levied".

Section 2. That the sum of Four Hundred Twenty-nine
Dollars and Forty-nine Cents ($429.49), being the amount of the
deficiency in the collection of taxes heretofore levied for
retirement of interest on bonds issued in pursuance of an
ordinance entitled "An .ordinance Authorizing and Directing
the Issuance of Bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook
County, Illinois, in the Amount of Seventy-five Hundred Dollars
($7500.00) for the Purpose of Obtaining Money for the Purchase
of a Fire Truck and the Construction of an Extension to the
Village Hall for the Purpose of Housing such Fire Truck, and
Providing ~or the Collection of a Direct Annual Tax for the
Payment of the Principal and Interest of said Bonds," duly
passed on the 9th day of May, 1929 and published as by law
required, be and the same is hereby specially levied on all
taxable property within the said Village of Mount Prospect

"An Ordinance Authorizing and Directing the Issuance of Bonds
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, in
the Aggregate ~ount of .6500.00, for the Purpose ot Acquiring
a Site for an Additional Well, Drilling an Additional Well,
the Purchase of a Pump and Pumping Equipment, Erecting a
Pump House, Purchasing all Appurtenances and Other Necessary
Equipment and Paying the Expenses of Installing such Pump
and Equipment and in the Extension and Improvement of the
Municipal Water Works System of said Village," duly passed
on the ~th day of May, 1926, and published as by law required;

Section 5. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed
to file with the County Clerk of Cook County, Illinois, within
the time specified by statute, a copy of this Ordinance duly
certified by said Clerk.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
