AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20 OF
AN ORDINANCE TO AAOOID AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CLlSSIFYING,
REGULATING AND RESTRIGr ING THE LOCA-
TION OF TRADES AND INDUSTRIES AND
THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS DESIGNED
FOR SPECIFIED USES; REGULATING AND
LIMITING THE HEIGHT AND BULK OF BUILD-
INGS HEREAFTER ERECTED OR ALTERED,
REGULATING AND LIMITING THE INTENSITY
OF THE USE OF LOT AREAS AND REGULAT-
ING AND DETERMINING THE AREA OF YlRDS,
COURTS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES WITHIN
AND SURROUNDING SUCH BUILDINGS; ES-
TABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICTS
FOR THE SAID PURPOSES; AND PRESCRIB-
ING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF
ITS PROVISIONS" PASSED AND APPROVED
DECEMBER 4, 1923, and AMENDMENTS
THERETO, AND KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO.
52.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1.
That Section 20 of
an Ordinance to Amend an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance clas-
sifying, regUlating and restricting the location of trades and
industries and the location of buildings designed for specified
uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of buildings
hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the inten-
sity of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the
area of yards, courts and otper open spaces within and surround-
ing such bUildings; establishing the boundaries of districts
for the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for the viola-
tion of its provisions" passed and approved December 4, 1923,
and amendments thereto and known as Ordinance No. 52, be and the
same is hereby amended by adding thereto paragraphs "C" and "D"
to read as follows:
c. REQUEST FOR REZONING OR AMENDMENT. Hereafter
any person, firm or Corporation desiring to file a peti-
tion or request for the rezoning of any property in the

Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois or for the amend-
ment of the Zoning Ordinance of said Village, or the
modification of any of its provisions, shall upon the
filing of such petition or request, pay to the Village
Clerk of said Village a filing fee of Twenty-five
Dollars ($25.00). The Village Clerk shall thereupon
issue to such applicant or petitioner a receipt there-
for and shall turn such fee over to the Village Treasur-
er of said Village; and in addition to the foregoing
fee such petitioner or applicant shall also pay any
and all costs of publications of notice and the cost of
the publication of any ordinance passed as the result
of the filing of such petition or app~ication; such
payment shall be made to the Village Clerk as soon as
the cost of such publication shall have been determin-
ed.
D. FEES. All such filing fees received by the Vil-
lage Treasurer shall be kept in a separate fund and
shall be used only for the purpose of paying the expen-
ses that may be from time to time incurred in the ad-
ministration of said Zoning Ordinance, in~luding any
legal expenses incurred and all salaries or compensation
of members of the Board of Appeals which may from time
to time be provided by ordinance.
Section 2.
That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in cQnflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3.
That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
