AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
1 (b) OF ORDINANCE NO. 245.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
titled: An Ordinance providing for the Regulation and Management
of the Water Works System of the Village of Mount Prospect,
and establishing Rules and Regulations for the Government of
Water Consumers and Others, and Regulating Connections with said
System and Establishing Rates and Charges and License Fees for
Plumbers'., as amended, be and the same is hereby further amend-
ed to read as follows:

Section 1 (~ That all consumers of water fur-
nished by the Village of Mount Prospect shall pay for
same according to the following rates and charges,
where meters can be permanently set:
For the first 10,000 gallons 1.33 per thousand gallons
For the next 10,000 gallons .27 per thousand gallons
For the next 20,000 gallons .23 per thousand gallons
For the next 160,000 gallons .22 per thousand gallon.s
For all over 200,000 gallons .20 per thousand gallons
The foregOing rates are to be for
water consumed during the periOd or three months, or
fraction thereof, for each individual. consumer and in
no case shall the charge be less than One Dollar and
Fifty Cents (41.50) per quarter or fraction thereof.
In the event any meter fails to register properly, the
Water Collector shall make an estimate of the water used
during the period of such failure based upon the average
quantity registere~ by such meter during the preceding
like periOds. No allowance shan be made for leakage.
SECTION 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in

conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall. be in full force
I and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
