AN ORDINANCE annexing certain" lands to
the Village of Mount Prospect, Ill.
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by AMERICAN NATIONAL BANK
AND TRUST COMPANY OF CHICAGO, as Trustee under the provisions of
a Trust Agreement No. 9749, bearing date of May 7, 1953, and under
Deed in Trust dated May 5, 1953, and recorded in the Recorder's
Office of Cook County, Illinois on the 12th day of May 1953, as
Document No. 15615894, being the sole owners of record of the
hereinafter described land and territory, requesting the annex-
ation of said tract of land and territory to the Village of Mount
Prospect; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is con~uous to the Village of
Mount Prospect, is unhabited and has no electors residing therein;
and
WHEREAS>> said petition states that no electors reside therein,
is under oath and in all respect complies with t he requirements
of the Statute in such case made and provided; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village
have examined said petition and have considered the question of
the annexation of the territory described in said petition and be-
lieve it to be to the best interests of the municipality that such
territory be annexed thereto:
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROXPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the allegations contained in t he petition are
true.
Section 2. That the lands and territory described, to-wit:
The East 242.0 feet of the West 407.0 feet
of the Southeast quarter (SE*) of the South-
east quarter (SE~)of Section 34, Township
42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is
not embraced therein, is uninhaWited, contains no electors residing
therein, and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby annexed to
the Village of Mount Prospect, so that hereafter said ~erritory shall
be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village as is
by law in such case made and provided.
Section 3. The Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed
to file a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate
map of said annexed territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, according to law.
