AN ORDINANCE amending the
Village of Mount Prospect
Zoning Ordinance as amended.

WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount
prospect at a public meeting duly called and held according to
law, considered the question of reclassifying from R 1, Residence
District to B Business District, the real estate hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, having
considered the recommendation of the said Zoning Commission,
find and believe that the highest and best use for the real
estate herein is that of B Business use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois:
Section 1.
That an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance
classifying, regulating and restricting the -location of trades
and industries and the location of buildings designed for
specific uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of
buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting
the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and
determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces
within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the
boundaries of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing
penalties for the violation of its provisionslt passed and
approved December 4, 1923, known as Ordinance No. 52, as amended,
be further amended by reclassifying from R 1 Residence District
to B Business District, the following real estate:

That part of the East half of the Southwest quarter of
Section 35, TownShip 42 North, R.nge 11 East of the 3rd
Principal Meridian described as follows: Commencing on
the South line of the East half of the Southwest quarter
of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11 where the
same is common with the Northwest corner of Section 7,

Township 41 North, Range 12 East of the 3rd Principal Meridian,
said point being 1075.92 feet West of the Southeast corner of
the Southwest quarter of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range
11, thence West on the South line of Section 35, Township 42
North, Range 11, 243 feet; thence North at right angles to
the South line of said Section aforesaid, 289.45 feet to the
center line of Rand Road; thence Southeasterly on the center
line of Rand Road, 535.55 feet to the South ~ine of Section
35; thence West on the South line of Section 35-aforesaid,
207.57 feet to the place of beginning, except that portion
used for the right of way of RAnd Road (Route No. 12) and
central Road; all in the county of cook, and state of Illinois
Section 2.
That said real estate as reclassified
shall be subject to all limitations and conditions placed
upon properties in B Business District as defined in said
Ordinance heretofore mentioned.
Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation who
violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply
with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars
($10.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each
offense, each day that a violation is permitted to exist
shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4.
That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
