AN ORDINANCE vacating portions
of streets and alleys in Rand-
view Highlands ~ubdivision in
the Village of Mount prospect,
Illinois.
WHEREAS, the president and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect after due investigation and consideration of
the petition of the majority of the owners abutting the streets
and alleys sought to be vacated have determined that the nature
and extent of the public use and the public interest to be sub-
served is such as to warrant the vacation of parts of public
streets and parts of public alleys described in the following
ordinance:
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That MOEMAC AVENUE from the Easterly line of
Forest Avenue to the Westerly line of Main street (except the
intersections which comprise Elmhurst Road, Russell street,
pine Street and Wille Street and which bisect said Moemac Avenue);
FOREST AVENUE from the Northerly line of Highland Avenue to the
Southerly line of Foundary Road; FAIRVIEW AVENUE from the Northerly
line of Highland Avenue to the southerly line of Foundary Road;
PROSPECT MANOR AVENUE from the Northerly line of Highland Avenue
to the Southerly line of Foundary Road; EASTWOOD AVENUE from
the Northerly line of Highland Avenue to the Southerly line of
Foundary Road; and the 16 foot alley in Blocks 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and
16; and also that part of the 16 foot alley in Block 1 lying
South of the North line of Lot 31; all in RANDVIEW HIGHLANDS,
being a subdivision of the Northwest quarter (Nwt) of the
Northwest quarter (NWt) and the Northeast quarter (NEt) of the
Northwest quarter (NWt) of section 34, Township 42 North, Range

1', East of the Third principal Meridian, in cook county, Illinois
all as colored in red and indicated by the words "TO BE VACATED"
on the plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty
is hereby made a part of this ordinance be and the same are
hereby vacated and closed) are no longer required for public
use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacatio~
SECTION 2. The vacation herein provided for is made upon
the express condition that within sixty (60) days after the
passage of this ordinance JOSEPH M. BRICKMAN shall payor cause
to be paid to the Village of Mount prospect as compensation fer
the benefits which will accrue to the owners of the property
abutting said public stre6B and said public alleys, hereby
vacated the sum of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7000.00) which
sum in the judgment of this Board~ll be equal to such benefits.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage subjectro the condition
of Section 2 hereof provided that said Joseph M. Brickman shall
within sixty (60) days after the passage of this ordinance file
or cause to be filed for record in the office of the Recorder
of Deeds of Cook county, Illinois a certified copy of this
ordinance.
