AN ORDINANCE amending the
Village of Mount prospect
Zoning Ordinance as Amended
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect at a public meeting duly called and held according to
law, considered the question of reelassifying from R-l Residence
District to B Business District, the real estate hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, having con-
sidered the recommendation of said Zoning Commission, find and
believe that the highest and best use for the real estate herein
is that of B Business use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the president and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, cook county,
Illinois:
SECTION 1. That an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance
classifying, regulating and restricting the location of trades
and industries and the location of buildings designed for speci-
fied uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of buildings
hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity
of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the area of
yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such
buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts .for the said
purposes; and prescribing penalties for the violation of its
.provisionstt, and passed and approved December 4, 1923, known as
Ordinance No. 52, as amended, be further amended by reclassifying
from R-l Residence District to B Business District, the
following real estate:
Lot 33 in Block gg, in the Resubdlvlsion of Lot 7 in
Block 21, lots 12 to 19 both inclusive in Block 22 and
lots 12 and 13 in Block 23 in Su~.s~'s Eastern Addition to
Mt. Prospect in the East half ~1/2J of Section 12,
Town 41 North, Range II, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, Illinois;
also

Lots 7, 9, 11, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 51 and 52, all
in Jlaplewood Heights, being a Subdivision of the East
15.00 chains of th~t.._part lying North of Railroad, of
Southeast Quarter (1/4) of Section 12, (except the Southerly
66 feet for road) also of Block .26 in Busse's Eastern
Addition of Mount prospect in the ~as~ Half (1/2) of
Section 12, Town 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
SECTION 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall
be subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon pro-
perties in B Business District as defined in said Ordinance
heretofore mentioned.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who re-
sists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each offense each day that a
violation is permitted to exist shall conS:itute a separate offense.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
