AN ORDINANCE amending the Village
of Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance as
Amended

WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect at a public meeting duly called and held according to law,
considered the question of reclassifying from R-l Residence District
to R-3 Residential Apartment District, the real estate hereinafter
de scribed; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, having con-
sidered the recommendation of the said Zoning Commission, find and
believe that the highest and best use for the real estate herein is that
of R-3 Residential Apartment District use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and /-
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Hlinoi s :
SECTION 1. That an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance classi-
fying, regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries
and the location of buildings designed for specified uses; regulating and
limiting the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, \
regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and other open
spaces within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries
of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for the
violation of its provisions", passed and approved December 4, 1923,
known as Ordinance No. 52, as amended, be further amended by
reclassifying from R-l Residence District to R-3 Residential Apartment

District, the following real estate:

'Lot 16 in Block 1 in Centralwoo9-:J. being a Subdivision of the
following described land: Beginnlng at the Southeast corner
of the West Half (1/2), of the Southeast Quarter (1/4) of
Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, thence West along South line of said
Section 33, a distance of 14.82 chains (978. 12 feet), thence
North along a line parallel to the East line of the West Half
(1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (1/4), of said Section 33, to
the Southerly line of the Right of Way of the Chicago and
Northwestern Ry. Co., thence Southeasterly along the said
Right of Way line to the East line of West Half (1/2), of
the Southeast Quarter (1/4), of said Section 33, thence
South along last mentioned line to the place of beginning, in
Cook County, ~llinois.
SECTION 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be subject
to all limitations and conditions placed upon properties in R-3 Residential
Apartment District as defined in said Ordinance heretofore mentioned.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists
the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be
fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) for each offense, each day that a violation is
permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
