A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE CONTRIBUTIONS
OF BERNARD KERSTEIN
WHEREAS, BERNARD KERSTEIN and wife June, have been long time residents
of the Village of Mount Prospect, having raised their family in the Village; and
WHEREAS, BERNARD KERSTEIN has demonstrated his dedication to community
and public service; and
WHEREAS, BERNARD KERSTEIN has contributed to his community through
serving 15 years as a member of the River Trails Elementary School District 26,
having served in the capacity of both Board President and Secretary; and
WHEREAS, BERNARD KERSTEIN has worked diligently to improve the
educational programs ofthe River Trails Elementary School District 26, promoting
policies for equal distribution of services to the children served by the District, as
well as fostering public participation in decision-making processes in District 26;
and
WHEREAS, BERNARD KERSTEIN has been an active member of the community,
as Co-Chairman of the committee supporting a new Fire and Police Facility for the
Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, BERNARD KERSTEIN has elected to retire from his position on the
River Trails Elementary School District 26 Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect do hereby acknowledge the many contributions of BERNARD KERSTEIN
to the taxpayers and children of River Trails Elementary School District 26 as well
as to the Village of Mount Prospect and express appreciation for his years of
public service.
SECTION TWO: That a copy of this Resolution be presented to BERNARD
KERSTEIN as a permanent record of the recognition and respect expressed
herein.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
