AN ORDINANCE amending
Ordinance No.4 77
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 477 entitled "An Ordinance annexing
certain lands to the Village of Mount Prospect" was passed and
approved on March 6, 1956, annexing the following described lands:
Lot 2 in Oehlerking's Division of the East half of
the Southeast Quarter and the East Half of the West
Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, (except the Chicago and Northwestern
Railroad right-of-way, also except that part of
the East 15.0 chains of said Southeast Quarter
lying North of said railroad right-of-way and also
except therefrom the East 8.6 chains of said
Southeast Quarter lying South of said Railroad
right-of-way), in Cook County, Illinois

WHEREAS, subsequent to the passage of said ordinance, it was
brought to the attention of the Board of Trustees that the lands so
annexed included a portion of lands already within the Village of Mount
Prospect, and
WHEREAS, that part of the above premises not already within
the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect are described as
follows:
That part of Lot 2 in Oehlerking's Division of land in the
Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying
South of the North line of the South half of the Southeast
Quarter of said Section 12, in Cook County, Illinois
WHEREAS, this ordinance is adopted for the purpose of
annexing only that portion of the area not in the Village of Mount Prospecti
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 477 entitled "An
Ordinance annexing certain lands to the Village of Mount Prospect",
passed and approved on March 6, 1956 be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
IISection 2. That the lands and territory described
to-wit:
That part of Lot 2 in Oehlerking's Division
of land in the Southeast Quarter of Section
12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, lying South of
the North line of the South half of the South-
east Quarter of said Section 12, in Cook
County, Illinoi s
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount
Prospect, is not embraced therein, is uninhabited,
contains no elector s residing therein, and is unincor-
porated' be and the same is hereby annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said terri-
tory shall be included within the boundary lines and
limits of said Village as is by law in such case made
and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to file with
the Registrar of Titles or record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Cook County, Illinois, as the case may be, a certified copy of this
ordinance together with a certified copy of Ordinance No. 477 and an
accurate map showing the territory herein described.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, according to law.

WHEREAS, a written petition bas been filed with the Villase
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect 'by ~RMAN OEHLERKlNO
and CLARA OEHLERKINO, his wife. being the aoleownereo! record
of the hereinafter described land and territory to the Village of
Mount Prospect; and
WHltRJtAS, said land a.nd territory h not wit.hin theeorporate
11rn11$ of. any municipaUty but hi contiguous to the Village of Mount
Prospect, hi unhabit.ed and bas no electors residing therein and
ViNEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the Statute in such case made and
provided; and
W:HE:REAS, tha Presidcmt and Board of Trustees of this VUlage
have examined said petition and. have considered the question of the
annexation of the territory descrilHld in sa.id petition and believe it to
be to the best interests of the municipality that suc:h territory be anne:xed
thereto; Now, Therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEi/S
OF THE Vll..LAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY. ILLINOIS:
