AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of
Mount Prospect at a public meeting duly called and held
according to law, considered the question of amending the
Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect to pro-
vide a use district for off-street parking; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission, after holding
the said public meeting according to law, and after all
persons who desired to be heard at said public meeting
were heard and were provided an opportunity to make such
remonstrances, statements, objections and express such
opinions as anyone in attendance so desiredj and
WHEREAS, the said Zoning Commission thereupon,
after taking the matter under advisement, concluded that
it is in the best interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect in the conservation of property values and for
orderly development of the Village that a separate use
district be established in order to provide a separate
use of property for off-street parking, and by letter
dated July 9, 1957 did so recommend such action to the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities, after consi-
dering the recommendation of the Zoning Commission and
after consideration of a recommendation by the Judiciary
Committee of the Board of Trustees do hereby believe,
determine and find that it would be in and for the best
interests of the Village of Mount Prospect in the conser-
vation of property values and for the orderly development

of the Village and in the interest of the general welfare,
safety and health of the residents of the Village of Mount
Prospect that new use districts be established for off
street parking,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That an ordinance entitled, "An
Ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the
location of trades and industries and the location of
buildings designed for specified uses; regulating and
limiting the height and bulk of buildings hereafter
erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity
of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining
the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within
and surrounding such buildings; establishing the bounda-
ries of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing
penalties for the violation of its provisions" passed and
approved December 4, 1923, and amendments thereto (and
known as Ordinance No. 52) as amended, be further amended
by adding the following sections:
"Section 3.2. P-l District.
In the P-l District the only use which may
hereafter be established is:
1. Paved off-street parking not for fee
of moving passenger vehicles.1I
IISection 3.3. P-2 District.
In the P-2 District the only use which may
hereafter be established is:
1. Paved off-street parking for fee of
moving passenger vehicles."
"Section 3.4. P-3 District.
In the P-3 District the only use which may
hereafter be established is:
1. Unpaved off-street parking not for fee
of moving passenger vehicles."
llSection 3.5. p-4 District.
In the p-4 District the only use which may
hereafter be established is:
1. Unpaved off-street parking for fee of
moving passenger vehicles.ll

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to lawj
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed reserving, however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person,
firm or corporation under any ordinance or sections of said
Zoning Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
