ORDINANCE No.5' i:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect did amend the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Mount Prospect on August 20, 1957 by the adop-
tion of Ordinance No. 564 and Ordinance No. 565; and
WHEREAS, as the result of the aforesaid amend-
ments it is necessary that Section 3 of said Zoning Ordi-
nance be amended in order to set forth the new use classi-
fications established by said Ordinance No. 564 and Ordinance
No. 565; and
WHEREAS, it is the present intention of the cor-
porate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect that
the property heretofore zoned in the B District-Business
continue to be so zoned and that the boundaries of the
districts heretofore established and heretofore shown on
the Zoning Plan of the Village shall continue in full force
and effect until and unless otherwise changed; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the corporate
authorities that the new use classifications established
by Ordinance No. 564 and Ordinance No. 565 shall only apply
to such property within the corporate limits of the Village
as may hereafter be so classified pursuant to amendments to
the present use districts as are heretofore established by
and in accordance with action taken pursuant to and in
accordance with the Zoning Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordi-
nance claSSifying, regulating and restricting the location
of trades and industries and the location of buildings de-
signed for specified uses; regulating and limiting the

height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered,
regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot
areas and regulating and determining the area of yards,
courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such
buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for
the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for the viola-
tion of its provisions" passed and approved December 4,
1923, and amendments thereto (and known as Ordinance No.
52) as amended, be further amended by adding the following
use districts to the use districts heretofore designated
in Section 3 thereof, which said additional use districts
shall be designated as follows:
"B_1 District - Business-Shopping Center.
B-2 District - Business-Office.
B-3 District - Business-Retail and Service
P-l District - Off-street Parking - Paved.
P-2 District - Off-street Parking - Paved - For Fee.
P-3 District - Off-street Parking - Unpaved.
p-4 District - Off-street Parking - Unpaved - For Fee."
Section 2: That thi~ .Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed reserving, however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinance or sections of said Zon-
ing Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
