ORDINANCE NO. ~7~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Zoning
Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect in the Village
Hall of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 27th day of
September, 1957 at the hour of 8:00 P. M. pursuant to Notice
of Public Hearing theretofore published in the Mount Pros-
pect Herald, a newspaper of general circulation in the
Village of Mount Prospect, which said public hearing con-
cerned itself with the application to rezone the following
described property from R-l Single Family Residence to P-l
Off Street Parking Paved:
liThe North half portion of Lot "A" in Block
1 in Ernst Busse Subdivision of Mount Pros-
pect being a subdivision of the South 543
feet of the East half of the Southwest quar-
ter, Secti0n 34, Township 42 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook
County, Illinois"
and the following described property from R-2 Duplex Resi-
dence to P-l Off Street Parking Paved:
"Lot "A" in HillCrest, being a subdivision
in the East half of the Southwest quarter,
Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook
County, Illinois, according to plat of said
subdivision recorded July 15, 1926 as Docu-
ment No. 9339822
, and
WHEREAS, all persons who desired to be heard were
heard and an opportunity given to all persons who desired to
make remonstrances and objections with reference thereto at
the aforesaid meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of
Mount Prospect, subsequent to said public hearing recommended
that the aforesaid property be rezoned in accordance with the
petition; and

WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the ViTIage
of Mount Prospect, after considering the aforesaid, find
from the record presented in the aforesaid matter that the
proposed reclassification is in the best interests of the
entire Village to the end that the public safety and wel-
fare may be promoted, and that there is a public need for
the reclassification of the property to the use district
proposed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordi-
nance classifying, regulating and restricting the location
of trades and industries and the location of buildings de-
signed for specified uses; regulating and limiting the height
and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating
and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulat-
ing and determining the area of yards, courts and other open
spaces within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the
boundaries of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing
penalties for the violation of its provisions" passed and
approved December 4, 1923, and amendments thereto (and known
as Ordinance No. 52) as amended, be further amended by reclas-
sifying the following described real estate from R-l to P-l:
"The North half portion of Lot "A" in Block 1
in Ernst Busse Subdivision of Mount Prospect
being a subdivision of the South 543 feet of
the East half of the Southwest quarter, Sec-
tion 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County,
Illinois"
and reclassifying the following described real estate from R-2
to P-l:

"Lot "An in HillCrest being a subdivision in
the East half of the Southwest quarter, Sec-
tion 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian in Cook county,
Illinois, according to plat of said subdivi-
sion recorded July 15, 1926 as Document No.
9339822"
Section 2: Tnat. the official copy of tne Zoning Plan
as amended shall be further amended in accordance with the amend-
ments contained herein.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, re-
serving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect any rights
which have accrued to it against any person, firm or corpora-
tion under any ordinance or sections of said Zoning Ordinance
which may be and are hereby repealed.
