AN ORDINANCE TO AT'IEND SECTIONS 19.202
AND 19.299 OF CHAPTER 19 OF THE MUNI-
CIPAL CODE OF fIIOUNr:L' PROSPECT OF 195'7

vn{EREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect have determined that additional costs are
incurred to the Village by delinquent payments for garbage
bill charges and believe that such additional costs should
be paid by the delinquent accounts as adei tional charges,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Chapter 19, Article II, Section
19.202 of the 11unicipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 as
amended, be and the same is hereby amended to and shall
hereafter read as follows:
If Section 19.202 Collection Charge. Each
family unit within the Village of Mount Prospect
shall pay the sum of ~~l. 25 per family unit per
month for the collection and disposal of resi-
dential garbage, rubbish, refuse or waste. Bills
for said charge shall be rendered quarterly in
advance on or about the lOth day of the month
preceding the first month of the quarter covered
by said bills and if said bills are not paid on
or before the 25th of said month an additional
charge of 501 per quarter shall be added to said
bill. No collection service shall be rendered
to anyone who has not paid for said service in
advance on or before the 25th of said month."
Section 2: That Chapter 19, Article II, Section
19.299 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 as
amended, be and the same is hereby amended to and shall
hereafter read as follows:
nSection 19.299 Penalty. Any person, firm
or corporation violating the provisions of this
Article shall be fined not more than Two Hundred
($200.00) Dollars for each offense. Each day
that a violation is permitted to exist constitutes
a separate offense.I!
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after ten days subsequent to its

passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinance or sections of ordinances
which may be and are hereby repealed.
