AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
vlliEREAS, on October 8, 1957 the Exchange National
Bank of Chicago, as Trustee under Trust Agreement dated
September '(, 1955 and knovm as Trust No. 5891, filed with
the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect the fol-
lowing petition:

PETITION TO ANNEX
Your Petitioner, THE EXCHANGE NATIONAL BA}lli OF
CHICAGO, as Trustee under Trust Agreement dated Sep-
tember 7, 1955, and known as Trust No. 5891, repre-
sents that it is the owner of record in fee simple,
of the following described land and territory located
in the County of Cook and State of Illinois:
That part of the South Half of the Southwest
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section
35, Township 42 North, RJ.nge 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, lying \'lest of Rand
Road and E:,'"st of The 1:1est 579.0 feet thereof;
Also a strip of land in the E~st Half of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, which lies South of the Southerly
line of Rand Road and West of a line described
as beginning at a point on the South line of
the said Southwest Quarter 1318.91 feet West
of the Southeast corner of said Southwest
Quarter; thence running North along a line
which makes an angle of 900 with the South
line of said Southwest Quarter to the Southerly
line of Rand Road, all in Cook County, Illinois.
Your Petitioner further represents:
(1) The above described land and territory is
not within the corporate limits of any
municipality;
(2) The above described land and territory is
contiguous to the village of Mt. Prospect,
Illinois;
(3) The above described land and territory has
no electors and inhabitants residing there-
on and therein.
Your Petitioner further represents that contemporan-
eously with the filing of this Petition, your Petitioner
has filed a Petition to Zone said land upon annexation, to
permit the use thereof for the erection of multiple dwellings,

a gasoline service station and retail businesses and
other uses classified as comrnercial.
Your Petitioner further represents that this
Petition for Annexation is filed subject to the grant-
ing of the Petition to so zone said property, and that
in the event the Village shall decline to so zone said
property then this Petition shall be likewise denied,
or withdrawn.
Your Petitioner further represents and agrees that
in the event the Village shall see fit to zone said land
in accordance with the Petition to Zone, and said land
is so zoned, that this Petition for Annexation will not
be withdrawn by your Petitioner and your Petitioner will
proceed diligently to perform all acts necessary to
cause a legal and proper annexation to the Village of
Mt. Prospect to be made of said land.
\~EREFORE, Your Petitioner prays that said above
described land and territory be annexed to and become a
part of the Village of Mt. Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.

poses and says that he is the duly authorized agent of
the Exchange National Bank of Chicago, as Trustee under
Trust Agreement dated September 7', 1955, and known as
Trust Number 5891, Petitioner in the foregoing Petition
to Annex; that he has read the above and foregoing Peti-
tion by him subscribed, knows the contents thereof, and
the same is true in substance and fact.

\~EREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have considered the question of
annexation of the territory described in said petition; and

vlliEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined that
said property, as described in the aforesaid petition, is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, that it is
contiguous to the present Village limits of the Village of
Mount Prospect, and that it has no electors residing therein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the following-described property:
That part of the South Half of the Southwest
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section
35, Township lj.2 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, lying \'Jest of Rand
Road and East of The West ?79.0 feet thereof;
Also a strip of land in the East Half of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, which lies South of the Southerly
line of Rand Road and West of a line described
as beginning at a point on the South line of
the said Southwest Quarter 1318.91 feet west
of the Southeast corner of said Southwest
Quarter; thence running North along a line
which makes an angle of 900 with the South
line of said Southwest Quarter to the Southerly
line of Rand Road, all in Cook County, Illinois,
oe and the same is hereoy annexed to the Village of Mount Pros-
pect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of
Section 7-6(a) of the Cities and Villages Act as amended.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be effective
upon its passage and approval according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village
of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record
wIth the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certi-
fied copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of
