Honoring the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001
WHEREAS, September 11, 2026, marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of
September 11, 2001, a tragic day that forever changed our nation and claimed the lives of
nearly 3,000 innocent people; and
WHEREAS, we remember with solemn respect the men, women, and children who lost
their lives in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and extend
our continued sympathy to their families, friends, and loved ones; and
WHEREAS, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the firefighters, police officers,
emergency medical personnel, military personnel, public servants, and ordinary citizens
who responded with extraordinary bravery and compassion in the face of unimaginable
tragedy; and
WHEREAS, the events of September 11 demonstrated the strength, resilience, and unity of
the American people, as communities across our nation came together to help one
another and support those in need; and
WHEREAS, twenty-five years later, we remain committed to preserving the memory of
those we lost, recognizing those who served and sacrificed, and ensuring that future

service, compassion, courage, and unity.
