A RESOLUTION WAIVING CERTAIN NON-REFUNDABLE VILLAGE
BUILDING PERMIT, INSPECTION, AND ZONING APPLICATION FEES
FOR THE VIDEO SCOREBOARD PROJECT AT PROSPECT HIGH
SCHOOL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT

WHEREAS, Township High School District 214 ("District 214") is a unit of local
government and is seeking to replace the existing scoreboard with a new video
scoreboard at Prospect High School, located at 801 West Kensington Road,
Mount Prospect, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, District 214 has submitted requests for signage relief related to the
proposed video scoreboard, which are the subject of Case No. PZ-17-25; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the requested signage relief is scheduled to be
held before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect on July 23, 2026, pursuant to proper legal notice published in the

WHEREAS, in recognition of District 214's status as a unit of local government
and the public benefit provided by Prospect High School to Village residents
and taxpayers, the Mayor and Board of Trustees find that waiving certain non-
refundable Village building permit, inspection, and zoning application fees
associated with the proposed video scoreboard project is appropriate and in
the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect hereby authorize the waiver of the non-refundable Village building
permit, inspection, and zoning application fees required forthe proposed video
scoreboard project at Prospect High School, located at 801 West Kensington
Road, in the total amount of $2,650.
SECTION TWO: All other applicable requirements, permits, reviews,
approvals, and conditions shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be
waived by this Resolution.
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in fullforce and effect from and after
its passage, in the manner provided by law.
