The Congressional Award Gold Medal is the highest honor the United
States Congress awards to civilian youth. Open to ages 14 to 24,
participants earn this non-competitive, voluntary medal by
logging at least 400 hours of volunteer service, 200 hours of
personal development, 200 hours of physical fitness, and
planning a five-day expedition.
