RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT
RESOLUTION NO. R-04-08
WHEREAS, DiMucci Companies filed an application for a Variation with respect to property commonly
known as 1042 S. Elmhurst Road (Dominick's Grocery Store) in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the subject property is described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, and 3 in DiMucci's Resubdivision of Lot 3 through 7, both inclusive, in Juhnke's Subdivision of part
of the Northeast 1/4/ of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
according to the plat thereof registered in the office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois on
February 27, 1979, as document # LR 3077963, (except that part of Lot 1 taken by condemnation in Case No.
981,50464), in Cook County, Illinois. PIN#: 08-14-204-023-0000
WHEREAS, the Petitioner seeks a Variation from the provisions of Sections 7.705.B.1 (one wall sign per
street frontage per establishment), of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois to install a wall sign for US
Bank, as shown on the attached Exhibit; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the Variation request (designated as CASE NO. PZ-04-08) before
the Planning & Zoning Commission in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois on January 24, 2008 pursuant to
due and proper notice thereof published in the Journal Newspaper on January 9, 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning & Zoning Commission does hereby grant the requested Variation as
described above, subject to the wall sign being used only to identify a bank/financial institution that is located
inside the grocery store and the Petitioner obtaining a permit from the Community Development Department.
Except for the Variation granted herein, all other applicable Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois ordinances and
regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the subject property.
PASSED AND APPROVED the 24th day of January, 2008 and effective five (5) days after this date, as
provided for by Section 5.504.E of the Mount Prospect Code.
