Information
The Village of Mount Prospect is a member of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook
County (SWANCC) and is entitled to appoint a Director and Alternate Director(s) to the Board
of Directors of the Agency.
The attached resolution reappoints Mayor Paul Wm. Hoefert as the Village's Director on the
Board of Directors of the SWANCC, and Trustee Terri Gens and Director of Public Works Sean
Dorsey as Alternate Directors, in each case for a term expiring April 30, 2028, or until a
successor is appointed. Mr. Dorsey's appointment will not be effective until SWANCC's
founding agreement and bylaws are amended and may not vote on the member's behalf until
after the bylaw amendment is completed. The appointment of Mr. Dorsey is in anticipation of
this action by SWANCC's Executive Committee.

1. Approve the resolution reappointing Mayor Paul Wm. Hoefert as the Village's Director on the
Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County's Board of Directors, and Trustee Terri Gens and
Director of Public Works Sean Dorsey as Alternate Directors, in each case for a term expiring
April 30, 2028, or until a successor is appointed.
2. Action at the discretion of the Village Board.
Staff Recommendation
Approve the resolution re -appointing Mayor Paul Wm. Hoefert as the Village's Director on the
Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County's Board of Directors, and Trustee Terri Gens and
Director of Public Works Sean Dorsey as Alternate Directors, in each case for a term expiring
April 30, 2028, or until a successor is appointed.

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A DIRECTOR AND ALTERNATE DIRECTORS
TO THE SOLID WASTE AGENCY OF NORTHERN COOK COUNTY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE
EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: The Village of Mount Prospect is a member of the Solid Waste Agency
of Northern Cook County (the "Agency") and, pursuant to the Agency Agreement
establishing the Agency, is entitled to appoint a Director and one or more Alternate
Directors to the Board of Directors of the Agency.
SECTION TWO:
The Mayor and Board
of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect
reappoint Mayor
Paul Wm. Hoefert
as the Village's Director
on the Board of
Directors of the
Agency, and Trustee
Terri Gens and Director
of Public Works
Sean Dorsey as
Alternate Directors,

SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law.
