Subject Motion to waive the rule requiring two readings of an
ordinance and adopt AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13
(ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT. This Ordinance will decrease the number of Class
"F-1" licenses by (1) MI RESTAURANT INC. d/b/a MI
RESTAURANT 1742 E Kensington Rd., Mount Prospect, IL; (2)
NEW PUSAN RESTAURANT INC. d/b/a NEW PUSAN
RESTAURANT 1144 S. Elmhurst Rd., Mount Prospect, IL; Class
"F-3" licenses by (3) VAANA GROUP M LLC. d/b/a CHIT CHAAT
CAFE located at 1716 E. Kensington, Mount Prospect, IL; (4)
PATINA MOUNT PROSPECT LLC d/b/a PATINA WINE BAR

Information
Mi Restaurant (Class T-1") - In April 2025, Mi Restaurant owner, Mr. Perez, decided not to
renew his liquor license for business reasons.
New Pusan Restaurant (Class T-1") - After 22 years of service, New Pusan Restaurant
owner, Mr. Yun Kap Ju, retired in September 2025. The Village wishes him well in his
retirement.
Chit Chaat Cafe (Class T-Y) - On May 20, 2025, the Village Board approved an ordinance
creating a new Class ""F-3" Liquor License for Chit Chaat Cafe. Owner, Mr. Patel has since
closed as of July 2025 due to personal reasons.
Patina Wine Bar (Class T-Y) - In April 2024, the Village Board approved an ordinance
creating a new Class ""F-3" Liquor License for Patina Wine Bar. Co -owners, Mr. Arifi and Mrs.
Shaffer, have decided to close their Mount Prospect location in November 2025, and plan to
shift focus to their restaurant in Park Ridge.

2. Action at the discretion of Village Board.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends the deletion of these Class T-1" and Class T-3" liquor licenses in order to
maintain an accurate number.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code
of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses
authorized. Said list is hereby amended. This Ordinance will decrease the number of Class "F-1" licenses
by (1) MI RESTAURANT INC. d/b/a MI RESTAURANT 1742 E Kensington Rd., Mount Prospect, IL; (2)
NEW PUSAN RESTAURANT INC. d/b/a NEW PUSAN RESTAURANT 1144 S. Elmhurst Rd., Mount
Prospect, IL; Class "F-3" licenses by (3) VAANA GROUP M LLC. d/b/a CHIT CHAAT CAFE located
