HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 6808 10/07/2025 Authorizing The Sale Of Surplus Personal Property Owned By The Village Of Mount ProspectORDINANCE NO. 6808 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/11-76- 4), the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect may dispose of personal property owned by the Village when, in the opinion of a simple majority of the Corporate Authorities, such property is no longer necessary or useful, or for the best interests of the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect deem it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interests of the Village to retain the personal property described as Motorola vehicle radio chargers, NNTN7619B Impres APX Vehicle Adapters. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF ITS HOME RULE POWER: SECTION ONE: The personal property, fifty-two Motorola vehicle radio chargers, NNTN7619B Impres APX Vehicle Adapters, are declared to be surplus personal property because it is no longer necessary, useful or in the best interests of the Village to retain. SECTION TWO: The Village Manager, or his designee, is authorized to sell the Surplus Property to the Village of Palatine at fair market value as determined by Northwest Central Dispatch. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
