Action Item
Staff is seeking Village Board approval of a plat of easement for the property
located at 112 East Northwest Highway. The plat of easement will grant access
easements to the Village for sidewalk, streetscape, and the street light control
system maintenance. Staff reviewed the plat and found it to be prepared according
to all Village codes and requirements.

1. Approve the resolution approving a plat of easement grant for the property located at
112 East Northwest Highway.
2. Action at the discretion of the Village Board.

SUBJECT: PLAT OF EASEMENT — 112 EAST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY
Staff is seeking Village Board approval of a plat of easement for property located at 112 East Northwest
Highway. The plat of easement will grant access easements to the Village for maintenance of the
sidewalk/streetscape and the street light control system. Staff has reviewed the plat and found it to be
prepared according to all Village codes and requirements.
Please forward this memorandum and attachments to the Village Board for their review and consideration
at their August 6, 2026 meeting. Staff will be present to answer any questions related to this matter.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PLAT OF EASEMENT GRANT FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 112 EAST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY,
MOUNT PROSPECT, IL 60056
WHEREAS, the Petitioner, 10 N LLC, has requested approval of a Plat of Easement
Grant dated 11/19/2024 for property located at 112 East Northwest Highway and
legally described as the following:
LOT A IN CORPORATE SUBDIVISION NO. 1, BEING A RESUBDIVISION OF
LOTS 8TO 14 IN BLOCK 12 IN BUSSE &WILLIE'S RESUBDIVISION IN MOUNT
PROSPECT, IN THE WEST HALF OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH,
RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO
THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JANUARY 26, 1979 AS DOCUMENT
NUMBER 24817046 AND AS DOCUMENT NUMBER LR3072886, IN COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
Property Index Number: 08-12-109-029-0000
WHEREAS, the Petitioner is seeking to dedicate new access that will grant access
easements to the Village of Mount Prospect for maintenance of the
sidewalk/streetscape and the street light control system.
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect ("Village"),
after due consideration, have determined it is in its best interests to approve a plat
dedicating new access that will grant access easements to the Village of Mount
Prospect for maintenance of the sidewalk/streetscape and the street light control
system as reflected on the Plat of Easement Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, A
HOME RULE MUNICIPALITY:
SECTION ONE: That the Plat of Easement Grant for the property located at 112
East Northwest Highway is hereby approved for appropriate execution and
simultaneous recording together with this Resolution.

SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
