1 CHAIRMAN POWERS CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 5:05 PM AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

3.1. APPROVAL OF OPEN SESSION MINUTES OF DECEMBER 11, 2024 — A motion was made by
Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner McCarthy to approve the Open Session Minutes of
December 11, 2024
3.2. APPROVAL OF OPEN SESSION MINUTES OF DECEMBER 16, 2024 — A motion was made by
Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner McCarthy to approve the Open Session Minutes of
December 16, 2024
3.3. APPROVAL OF OPEN SESSION MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 3, 2025 — A motion was made by
Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner McCarthy to approve the Open Session Minutes of
February 3, 2025
4 CITIZENS TO BE HEARD - NONE
5 FIRE DEPARTMENT UPDATE — no update
6 POLICE DEPARTMENT UPDATE
Chief Eterno notified the Board of Active Shooter Training for citizens on Wednesday, March 12th at 7 pm in the
library Community Room A and on March 17th at 10 am at Village Hall. The recruiting drive is going very well
with 255 current applicants. The response has been very positive, and Chief Eterno commended the recruiting
team for their great work. As a reminder, the Chief stated the test is April 5th. Deputy Chief Tweedie updated
the Board on the location change to Holmes Junior High School due to the large number of candidates
registered.
7 CLOSED SESSION —CHAIRMAN POWERS ASKED FOR A MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by Commissioner Knee and seconded by Commissioner McCarthy to go into Closed
Session at 5:15 pm. Motion Unanimously Approved
All Commissioners and Staff present from Open Session were in Closed Session attendance.
7.1. Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) - The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal,
of specific employees of the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the
public body for the public body to determine its validity.

7.5. Discussion of Police Officer Oral Interview questions with Stanard and Associates
*Fire Chief John Dolan joined the meeting at 5.40 pm and Commissioner Busse joined the meeting at
5.30 pm. Chief Dolan excused himself at 6pm from the Meeting.
A motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner McCarthy to return to Open
Session at 7:17 pm. Motion Unanimously Approved
The Board returned to Open Session at 7:17 pm.

8 OLD BUSINESS - None
9 NEW BUSINESS
9.1. VOTE TO APPROVE UPDATED POLICE OFFICER ORAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS — Tabled to
4/14/2025
9.2. VOTE TO REMOVE A POLICE CANDIDATE DUE TO REQUEST TO BE REMOVED FROM
CONSIDERATION
Commissioner McCarthy made a motion to remove Candidates, as discussed in the Closed Session,
from consideration and the hiring process and Commissioner Bork seconded the motion.
Motion Unanimously Approved
*The next regular meeting was moved from April 71h to April 141 at 5:45 pm due to Stanard and
Associates attending to discuss police interview questions with the Board.
10 ADJOURNMENT - With no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Knee and seconded by
Commissioner Bork to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 pm. Motion Unanimously Approved
