1 CHAIRMAN POWERS CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 5:46 PM AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

3 APPROVAL OF MINUTES
3.1. Open Session minutes of October 28, 2024.
Commissioner Bork made a motion to approve the Open Session minutes of October 28, 2024 and
Commissioner Busse seconded the motion. Motion Unanimously Approved
3.2. Open Session minutes of November 4, 2024
Commissioner Bork made a motion to approve the Open Session minutes of November 4, 2024 and
Commissioner Busse seconded the motion. Motion Unanimously Approved
4 CITIZENS TO BE HEARD — none
5 FIRE DEPARTMENT UPDATE
Fire Chief Dolan updated the Board on the Toy Drive at Station 14 on Saturday, December 14th. Chief Dolan
also asked Chairman Powers to sign three certificates of appointment for Nathan Cook, Joseph Finnegan and
Grant Reese. Additionally, Chief Dolan apologized for not notifying the Board earlier of the passing of retired
Firefighter Lt. Michael Ghawaly on November 22nd
6 POLICE DEPARTMENT UPDATE
Chief Eterno notified the Board of the Toys for Tots Campaign with the Marines. Also, Shop with the Cops will
be Thursday, December 5th for 14 families in need. Officers Nord and Dezonno are doing very well at the
academy and will graduate on December 191h. With Commissioner Claussen's term expiring, Maria McCarthy,
formerly of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, will be taking over the position.
7 CLOSED SESSION —CHAIRMAN POWERS ASKED FOR A MOTION TOGO INTO CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner Busse to go into Closed Session
at 5:54 PM. Motion Unanimously Approved
All Commissioners and Staff present from Open Session were in Closed Session attendance.
7.1. Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) - The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or
dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an

employee of the public body for the public body to determine its validity.
7.2. Closed Session minutes of October 18, 2024
7.3. Closed Session minutes of November 4, 2024
7.4. Semi-annual review of Closed Session minutes for release to the Open Session Book for the period of August 2024
to November 2024
7.5. Discussion of Police Officer Oral Interview questions
A motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner Claussen to return to Open Session
at 6:24PM. Motion Unanimously Approved
The Board returned to Open Session at 6:24PM.

8 OLD BUSINESS - None
9 NEW BUSINESS
9.1. DISCUSS AND APPROVE REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE OF 2025 — The Board set the schedule for
2025 as follows: January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 8,
October 6, November 3 and December 1 at 5:45pm in the Police Department Administrative Conference
Room.
9.2. DISCUSS AND APPROVE 2025 POLICE OFFICER NEW RECRUIT HIRING TIMELINE, VENDOR AND
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS — Chief Eterno and the Board discussed the proposed timeline (attached) for the
2025 recruiting timeline and agreed with the proposal of the timeline, vendor and interview questions as
discussed in Closed Session.
9.3. VOTE TO DESTROY OR RETAIN CLOSED SESSION AUDIO RECORDINGS PURSUANT TO THE OPEN
MEETINGS ACT FOR THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 2023 TO MAY 2023
A motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner Claussen to destroy the
Closed Session recordings for the period of January 2023 to May 2023.
9.4. VOTE TO RELEASE CLOSED SESSION MINUTES OF AUGUST 2024 TO NOVEMBER 2024 TO THE
OPEN SESSION BOOK OR RETAIN IN THE CLOSED SESSION BOOK
A motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner Claussen to retain in the
Closed Session Book the minutes for the period of August 2024 to November 2024.
10 ADJOURNMENT -With no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by
Commissioner Busse to adjourn the meeting at 6:40PM. Motion Unanimously Approved
