AN ORDINANCE amending the
Village of Mount Prospect
Zoning Ordinance as Amended
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect at a public meeting duly called and held according to law,
considered the question of reclassifying from R-2 Residence District to
B Business District, the real estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, having considered
the recommendation of said Zoning Commission, find and believe that the
highest and best use for the real estate herein is that of B Business use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
SECTION 1. That an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance classifying,
regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and the
location of buildings designed for specified uses; regulating and limiting
the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating
and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and
determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and
surrounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for
the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for the violation of its
provisionstl, and passed and approved December 4, 1923, known as
Ordinance No. 52, as amended, be further amended by reclassifying from
R-2 Residence District to B Business District, the following real estate:
Lot 22 in Block 7 in Mount Prospect, being a Subdivision
in Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
SECTION 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be
subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon properties in B
Business District as defined in said Ordinance heretofore mentioned.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the
enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not
less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) for each offense and each day that a violation is permitted to
exist shall constitu~e a separate offense.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
